- Ananda Shorey is a journalist and photographer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has shot photos and written stories from Germany, Ireland, Spain and the United States. Her stories and photos have been published in numerous magazines and newspapers throughout the world, including publications like The New York Times, The Washington Post and The San Francisco Chronicle. Ananda covered immigration and drought for The Associated Press in Arizona for four years after interning with the wire service in Washington, D.C., in 2001. She also works in San Francisco as an editor at a regional news wire service. She is also the editor of a vintage airplane newsletter and the editor of Focal Point, Northern California Professional Photographer's newsletter. In addtion to being a member of NCPP, she is a Professional Photographers of America member. Her photography is now focused on weddings, stock news images, and portratiture. Ananda has a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from the University of Maryland College Park and a master’s degree in photography from the Escuela de Fotografia Centro de Imagen in Madrid, Spain.
